Sunitha Janamohanan has been working in the arts since 1999, with a portfolio that covers a range of art forms and creative industries, and has worked with multiple stakeholders both public and private. She has been an arts manager, producer, curator and heritage manager. She has a BA in Communications with Minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, and an MA in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, NY. Now teaching in the Programme in Arts Management at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, Sunitha's research interests include community or socially engaged arts practice, and arts management training as a form of continuing education in developing country contexts devoid of policy or formal institutional structures.
