Lluis Bonet is a Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Barcelona, specializing in cultural economics, cultural policies and arts management. Dr. Bonet is the Director of the Cultural Management Program, including a PhD on Cultural and Heritage Management and a set of Postgraduate courses (MA on Cultural Management; MA on World Heritage and cultural projects for development; and the part time Diplomas on Cultural project design, International Cultural Management and Cooperation, Creative territories and Cultural Tourism, and Live Performing and Events Production). He has been research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and invited professor at the Université de Montpelier. He has been invited lecturer in over 40 different countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. In 2002 he won the CAC Research Prize with research on the audiovisual industry and the digitalization process. In addition, Dr. Bonet served as President of ENCATC, Jury member of the Cultural Policy Research Award, and Board member of the Association of Cultural Economics International (ACEI), among other academic and professional responsibilities in the cultural sector.
